The Scholarly Writer™ - Pilot Program
This 4-week program teaches a structured system that helps students write clear, high-level analytical paragraphs.
Most students don’t struggle because they lack ideas.
They struggle because they don’t have a clear structure for expressing those ideas in writing.
They know what they want to say—but:
Their writing feels inconsistent
Their ideas don’t come across clearly
They fall back into summary instead of analysis
Even strong students hit this ceiling.
This program teaches a simple, repeatable system:
Claim
Language (Evidence)
Explanation
Analysis
Reasoning
Instead of guessing what to write next, students learn exactly how each part of a paragraph works—and how to build writing that is clear, structured, and effective.
By the end of the program, students will be able to:
Write clear, defensible claims
Use precise, relevant textual evidence
Explain what their evidence actually shows
Move beyond summary into real analysis
Build complete, well-structured analytical paragraphs
Designed for students who understand the material—but struggle to structure their writing clearly. Designed for students enrolled in:
• Honors English
• AP / IB
• Dual Enrollment
• Advanced private school coursework
Or preparing to enter advanced coursework.
Designed for students who:
Understand the material but struggle to express it clearly in writing
Want to improve the structure and clarity of their essays
Are capable—but inconsistent in how they communicate their ideas
This is not a remedial writing program.
It is structured training designed to improve how students think on the page.

Each week includes:

A clear system students can actually apply
Feedback aligned to a structured framework
Focus on precision—not volume
Small group (limited to 16 students)

General writing help

Students are not asked to write more.
They are taught how to write better.
I taught AP and dual-enrollment English for 11 years and served as an English department chair, working with over 2,000 students.
